Which Omega 3? Or is it just about all the Omega 3 Fatty Acids in general?

There are a few different Omega 3s out there, but the main sources would be Fish Oil and Flax Oil. Fish Oil has EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) naturally occurring in it and Flax Oil has ALA (Alpha Linolenic Acid) plus Omegas 6 and 9 Fatty Acids.

That will at least give you a good starting place and you can find a lot more information in the encyclopedia (online or books) and in Wikipedia (although I'm not sure if your teacher would consider that a valid source) at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omega_3
Good luck on your project and I hope I helped!
References :
Personal research in my role as a Product Specialist for a vitamin company

http://www.google.com/search?q=OMEGA+3&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

FYI: Yahoo answers is NOT an acceptable source for a report. Due to anyone can make up an answer such as "Oxygen is not real!"
